Wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope and quick bowler Oshane Thomas have been recalled because the West Indies named a 15-member ‘provisional’ squad for the five-match T20 International collection in opposition to India, starting on Thursday at Tarouba.
All 15 members of the provisional squad, to be led by Rovman Powell, will journey to all matches. There will then be a 13-member squad for every match from which the ultimate XI will probably be chosen, the Cricket West Indies (CWI) mentioned.
The 29-year-old Hope, the West Indies captain within the three-match ODI collection, final performed a T20I in February final yr in Kolkata through the tour of India.
The 26-year-old Thomas, however, is coming again after taking part in his final T20I in Karachi in December 2021.
Kyle Mayers has been named vice-captain within the squad introduced by the CWI senior males’s choice panel.
Lead selector Desmond Haynes mentioned the squad was chosen with subsequent yr’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at house in thoughts.
