West Indies captain Rovman Powell has stated that they didn’t bat effectively within the center overs towards India in Florida. The Men in Blue beat West Indies by 9 wickets to degree the five-match T20I collection 2-2.

Speaking after the match, Powell stated the floor was good for batting however insisted that they fell 10 to fifteen runs quick within the first innings. West Indies posted a goal of 179 runs for India to chase within the fourth T20I of the collection.
“I think this is a pretty good batting surface. We were around 10-15 runs short. Given that, Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope batted well. You know, we do have a quality bowlers on our side but it was high-quality batters whom we were up against. We didn’t stick to our plans and felt the pressure of bowling to quality batters,” stated Powell.
He went on to say that West Indies didn’t bat effectively within the center overs, including that they may do effectively if they’ll enhance their batting towards India’s spinners. Kuldeep Yadav picked two wickets whereas Arshdeep Singh claimed three wickets towards the West Indies in Florida.
“Always it comes down to spin, how we bat against their spinners. We didn’t bat well in the middle overs. If we can improve against spin, then we’ll do well. Yeah, it’s 2-2 as of now and tomorrow it’s a final and I will back West Indies in the final,” Powell added.
In the primary innings, Shimron Hetmyer hit 61 runs off 39 balls and Shai Hope scored a 29-ball 45 to propel the hosts to a complete of 178 for 8 in 20 overs. India openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill fashioned a 165-run stand for the opening wicket to take the sport away from the hosts, guiding India to a cushty nine-wicket win.
