6.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Taiwan’s northeast area

An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck the northeast of Taiwan area on Monday, the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ) mentioned.

The quake was at a depth of 171km (106.25 miles), GFZ mentioned.
