Lucknow. UP ATS has arrested two people with large quantity of fake notes. It is being told that the arrested accused were smuggling Indian fake currency notes on a large scale from Bangladesh to different districts of UP. UP ATS officials said that they had received information that some people from Uttar Pradesh. Indians from Bengal are in contact with a gang of fake currency smugglers. Also P. Fake Indian currency, which is printed in Bangladesh, is brought from Bengal and supplied to different districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Acting on this, the ATS team arrested Deepak Kumar and Chandan Sainik with fake Indian currency worth Rs 97,500 near Lalpur Ghanshyam Degree College located on Varanasi Azamgarh Road. Both the accused were from Farakka. The smugglers from Bengal had come to Varanasi with fake Indian currency brought by their associates for smuggling from Bangladesh.
