Krishna Janmashtami is being celebrated with great pomp at the ISKCON temple in Dwarka, Delhi. Darshan of Lord Rukmini Dwarkadhish started at 4:30 am today. After this, kirtan started. Devotees have been coming and going to the temple since morning.
The temple has been decorated with hundreds of flowers. In the evening, one lakh offerings will be made in the temple before the evening aarti. Today, prasad will be distributed to more than 5 lakh people throughout the day. Devotees have prepared many types of laddus and 15 types of pedas for the offering to God.
All the offerings will be kept in special earthen bowls. Nandotsav will be celebrated at the temple on Tuesday. This is the celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna in Gokul.
