New Delhi. The date of voting in Haryana Assembly has been changed. Now elections will be held in the state on October 5 and counting of votes will be done on October 8. The Election Commission had earlier declared the date of election as October 1, now it has been changed to October 5. It is being told that the date has been changed on the demand of Vishnoi community.
The Election Commission had announced the dates for 90 seats in Haryana. Voting will be held in a single phase for all 90 seats in Haryana. Voting was to be held on all 90 seats in Haryana on October 1 and the election results were to be declared on October 4. But now the Election Commission has changed the date.
The term of the Haryana Assembly is going to end on November 3, 2024. The last assembly elections were held in October 2019. After the elections, the alliance of Bharatiya Janata Party and Jannayak Janata Party formed the state government and Manohar Lal Khattar became the Chief Minister.
