Naiduniya, Umaria (Umaria News). A young man riding a bike died while two others were severely burnt when lightning struck the bike near Darriha railway crossing in Naugaza area of Chandia. Kamil Khan, aged 37, died on the spot. Information has also come to light that 30 goats died in another incident of lightning in another part of Chandia.
Treatment of the injured continues in the district hospital
Two other Chandaniya residents Azimullah Khan, age 35 and Saqib Khan, age 28, have suffered severe burn injuries. After the incident, both the injured were first taken to Chandia Hospital, where they were given first aid and then referred to the district hospital with the help of 108. Both the injured are still undergoing treatment.
All three had come from Chandaniya
These three friends were from village Chandaniya situated near Shahdol border of the district, who were going to village Rojhin for some personal work, when between Chandaniya and Rojhin all three friends got struck by lightning. This is a unique incident of lightning striking a bike. The relatives have been informed. The police have taken up the investigation of the case.
30 goats died in village Bansa
In another incident of lightning, 30 goats have also died in village Bansa. Giving information about this, Bansa resident Bahori Sahu said that some people of the village had gone to Pipraha Haar to graze their goats. During this time, clouds started thundering in the sky and lightning started flashing. Seeing this, as soon as they gathered their goats from the forest to bring them back home, lightning struck and 30 goats died. All these people used to earn their livelihood from these goats.

It is a good thing that all the people stayed a little behind due to which they were saved, otherwise all the four shepherds would have been struck by the lightning and an unpleasant situation would have arisen. It has been reported that among the goats that died were 8 goats of Ram Sevak Kol, 7 goats of Chhote Lal Kol, 5 goats of Babu Kol, 2 goats of Lachhu Sahu, 2 goats of Ram Bhajan Pal, 2 goats of Ramji Kol, 2 goats of Shani Sevak Kol and 2 goats of Babbu Kol. Dial 100 was informed after the incident. Now all the goat owners are pleading for help from the government and administration.
