Instructions were given to make Kshipra river pollution free. Indore-Ujjain road will be made six lane, metro survey started. Possibility of arrival of 15 crore devotees, preparations started.
State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal. For the Simhastha to be held in the year 2028, many construction works will be carried out in Ujjain to provide maximum facilities to the devotees and tourists. For this, in the first meeting of the Cabinet Committee chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Rs 5,882 crore was sanctioned for 19 works including ghat construction.
With this amount, various works will be done by the departments of Water Resources, Urban Administration and Development, Energy, Public Works, Culture and Archeology. This time around 15 crore people from all over the world are expected to attend Simhastha. Keeping this in view, preparations are already being made.
The Chief Minister has instructed the officials to prepare such a plan that the Kshipra River is completely pollution free under any circumstances and there is uninterrupted flow of pure water. Maintaining traffic order in Ujjain will be very challenging. For this, construction of Shankaracharya Square to Dutt Akhara, Bhukhimata, Ujjakheda Hanuman to Ujjain Badnagar road at a cost of Rs 19 crore, Khak Chowk, Veer Savarkar Square, Gadkalika, Bhartahari Gufa to Ranjit Hanuman road and bridge on Kshipra river at a cost of Rs 18 crore. Suspension bridge approach road from Siddhavarkoot to Kailash Khoh and approach road from Omkareshwar Ghat to Siddhavarkoot including foot bridge over Kaveri river at Omkareshwar will be constructed at an expense of Rs.
Indore-Ujjain road will become six lane
Indore-Ujjain road will be six-lane at a cost of Rs 1692 crore, Indore-Ujjain Greenfield four-lane will be constructed at a cost of Rs 950 crore. Construction of stone statues in place of fiber in Mahakal Lok Corridor, development work of Kumbh Museum, Time Reckoning Research Center, Ujjain will be done with Rs 75 crore.
Ghat will be constructed at a cost of Rs 779 crore
A 29.21 km long ghat will be constructed at a cost of Rs 778 crore 91 lakh. Diversion of 30.15 km Kanh river worth Rs 1024 crore 95 lakh, continuous water flow scheme in Kshipra river (Silarkhedi-Sevarkhedi dam) worth Rs 614 crore 53 lakh, construction of 14 proposed barrages on Kshipra river worth Rs 74 crore 67 lakh, Rs 43 crore Construction of 11 proposed barrages on Kanh river worth Rs 51 lakh, sewerage project of Ujjain city worth Rs 198 crore, electricity and other works will be done.
Metro line will be laid from Indore to Ujjain
Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, Neeraj Mandloi said that so far, proposals worth Rs 15,567 crore have been received for 568 works of 18 departments. On the other hand, the work of surveying the new metro line from Luv-Kush intersection in Indore to Ujjain has been given to Delhi Rail Metro Corporation.
