Light cold likely to increase after Diwali, night temperature in Pachmarhi 14.8 degrees Celsius, weather systems weak, less expected rain.
Naidunia Representative, Bhopal: Right now the weather systems are in a weak state. Because of this, there is no possibility of rain in the state for the next few days. There is a possibility that after Diwali the direction of the winds will turn north. Due to this there will be a significant drop in night temperature. With this, mild cold will start. According to Bhopal Meteorological Centre, at present a cyclone is formed in the upper part of the air off the coast of southern Andhra Pradesh in the Bay of Bengal. A western disturbance is in the form of a trough over Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir.
There is little hope of rain
Senior meteorologist Ajay Shukla says that both these weather systems are in a very weak condition. Because of this, the weather in the state remains almost dry. There is less chance of rain. At present, easterly winds are blowing at the lower level, while westerly winds are blowing at the upper level, due to which an increase in day temperature has been recorded.
There is no significant drop in minimum temperatures in all parts of the state. There is a possibility of western disturbance moving forward on Thursday, after which the direction of winds will turn north. The night temperature is expected to drop after two days. Due to this, mild cold will start in the state.
Khajuraho was the hottest, Pachmarhi was the coldest.
The day temperature is currently high in the state. Khajuraho was the hottest city of the state on Wednesday. The maximum temperature recorded here was 37.2 degrees Celsius. Whereas in 14 cities of the state the night temperature was less than 20 degrees Celsius. The night temperature in hill station Pachmarhi has reached 14.8 degrees Celsius.
