The year 2025 is set to be a pivotal year for the Indian automotive sector. The industry is experiencing a rise in demand for green and sustainable vehicles. Simultaneously, changes to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) are making new car prices more appealing. This combination of factors has injected new vitality into the market, and buyer confidence is high. As the year moves into its final months, the anticipation surrounding new car launches is building. Automakers are actively preparing to introduce new models featuring advanced features and technologies. At least eight new cars and SUVs are expected to be launched in India before the end of 2025.

    Upcoming Vehicles:

    * Mahindra Thar Facelift: Launching by the end of September.
    * Maruti Victoris: Expected to launch before Diwali.
    * Tata Punch Facelift: Launching in October.
    * New-Gen Hyundai Venue: Planned for a November release.
    * Tata Sierra EV: Also scheduled for November.
    * Skoda Octavia RS Sedan: To launch in November.
    * Volkswagen Tayron: Launching between November and December.
    * MG Majestor SUV: Expected around Diwali.

These new vehicles will include both entirely new models and updated versions of popular existing cars. They are expected to incorporate modern technology, improved safety features, and greater fuel efficiency, providing consumers with more options.

The Mahindra Thar Facelift, coming soon, will feature design elements and features inspired by the Thar Rocks. It will retain its existing engine and gearbox options.

The Maruti Victoris has already begun to arrive at showrooms. It is the first Maruti Suzuki car to feature Level-2 ADAS technology and is currently the safest car in its class, earning a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP tests. The Victoris will be available with three engine choices: petrol mild hybrid, strong hybrid, and petrol-CNG.

The Tata Punch Facelift will be launched in October and includes minor design tweaks and feature enhancements. The Tata Sierra EV is planned for a November launch and is expected to use the same powertrain as the Harrier EV.

The New-Gen Hyundai Venue will feature significant changes to its exterior and interior while retaining its existing engine options.

Skoda will be reintroducing the performance-oriented Octavia RS Sedan. It will be powered by a 265 bhp, 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine. The car will be imported via the CBU route and is estimated to be priced around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Volkswagen is planning to launch the Tayron, a premium 7-seater SUV, by the end of 2025. The official launch date is yet to be announced.

MG showcased the Majestor SUV at the recent Bharat Mobility Show. Although the initial plan was to launch it in 2025, the manufacturer has not yet confirmed a specific launch date.
