The Bihar government is implementing the Mukhyamantri Gramin Setu Yojana to enhance connectivity between villages and urban centers, while strengthening rural infrastructure. This project, a key initiative of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, involves constructing 703 new bridges throughout the state during the 2025-26 financial year. Construction began on September 15th. The scheme is estimated to cost 3,688 crore rupees and will benefit numerous villages by providing them with stable and reliable road links, thus improving travel and access.
