Amidst the third part of the continued West Bengal State Assembly polls, a Trinamool Congress (TMC) sales space agent was thrashed by a bunch of girls in Arambagh within the South 24 Parganas district. The assault comes days after TMC chief Mamata Banerjee urged girls to assault safety personnel with ‘Haatha kunthi‘.
As per reviews, the incident came about in Subhaypur Harijan Prathamik Vidyalaya (Polling station 230) within the Arambagh Vidhan Sabha constituency. A bunch of girls reached the polling station and pulled the TMC agent Babar Ali Khan out of the sales space. He was allegedly overwhelmed with ‘haatha kunthi’ by the ladies within the presence of the central safety personnel.
ABP Ananda reported that regardless of the efforts of the safety forces to pacify the scenario, the ladies continued to thrash the TMC agent. He then managed to flee and attain the van of the police authorities. On being requested to return again to the polling sales space, he cited ‘personal safety’ to chorus from going again. The TMC sales space agent then left the scene.

During an election rally in Falakata within the Alipurduar district on Friday(April 2), Mamata Banerjee claimed that the central safety personnel have been working in cahoots with the BJP as part of a sinister conspiracy to defeat the Trinamool Congress. “Don’t listen to them. If they try to intimidate you, then, you must unite and chase them away with utensils, sticks and brooms,” the West Bengal beneficial the individuals of Falakata to resort to violent means.
