Not long ago, Vivo unveiled its Vivo V20 series in India and some select markets. However, the company wasn’t very satisfied with the number of devices released under this smartphone series. A couple of days ago, we started to see many leaks pointing to the arrival of the Vivo V20 2021 variant. Today, all of sudden, the device was released in India. The device was listed by Amazon India and is already in stock and ready for order. This was quite unexpected, after all, Vivo didn’t hint at the official launch of the phone.
The Vivo V20 2021 is an intriguing device. After all, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset at the helm alongside 8GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. Perhaps, 2021 really means that the device is beyond the vanilla Vivo V20, which brings the lesser Snapdragon 720G. The handset also comes with a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 44MP selfie snapper offering an auto-focus feature. The V20 series brings some of the most powerful smartphones for those who love capturing selfies.
The handset draws power from a 4,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging. Another interesting fact is that the device runs Android 11 OS, but it’s not the OriginOS version, but the Funtouch 11. This makes us a little bit confuse about Vivo’s strategy for its newly launched OriginOS system. We know that the OS will make its debut on the Vivo X60 series. But, now, we are curious to see if other devices will get the same update or will receive a Funtouch 11 update.
