Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Tuesday mentioned its complete gross sales declined by 52 per cent to 17,447 models in May as in contrast with April this 12 months on account of lockdown in varied states.
The Mumbai-based auto main had dispatched 36,437 models to sellers in March this 12 months.
Passenger automobile gross sales within the home market stood at 8,004 models final month, down 56 per cent from 18,285 models in April 2021.
Commercial autos gross sales declined by 53 per cent to 7,508 models in May as in opposition to 16,147 models in April this 12 months.
The firm mentioned its exports final month stood at 1,935 models in May as in contrast with 2,005 models in April.
“We are seeing a strong growth momentum for our entire product portfolio. The Thar is clocking robust bookings, despite extended waiting periods. XUV300 has been a tremendous success and continues to see strong demand,” M&M Chief Executive Officer Automotive Division Veejay Nakra mentioned.
With the circumstances coming down and gradual opening up of markets, the corporate foresees a powerful demand rebound, he added.
