    Raipur. 18 October 2024/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai reviewed the law and order situation in the state in a meeting held at the Chief Minister's residence today. While directing the officers in the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that strict action should be taken against criminals and anti-social elements. He said that law and order should be maintained under all circumstances. Police should take immediate action and remain alert. Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma was also present in the meeting.

    The Chief Minister said that the police should keep a close watch on the incidents happening at the local level and the possible consequences of these incidents should also be considered. He said that to stop crimes, illegal drug trade should be curbed. There should be prompt action against smuggling of ganja, illicit liquor and drugs.

    Shri Sai said that police patrolling should be done regularly at night in urban and rural areas. Top police officers should also compulsorily patrol. There should be regular police patrolling in railway stations, bus stands, airports as well as in sensitive areas. Shopping malls, shops, hotels etc. in urban and rural areas should close at the prescribed time at night. Beer bars and hotels should be closed on time and strict action should be taken against such hotels where complaints of illegal sale of liquor are received.

    The Chief Minister said that effective action should be taken immediately to stop cyber crime.

    On this occasion, Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Home Mr. Manoj Kumar Pingua, Director General of Police Mr. Ashok Juneja, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Rahul Bhagat and senior officials of the Home Department were present.
