South Africa’s lead pacer Kagiso Rabada was on Tuesday launched from the workforce for the three-match One-Day International sequence towards India as a part of its workload administration.
The sequence begins in Paarl on Wednesday.
“Proteas seam bowler, Kagiso Rabada, has been released from the team for the Betway One-Day International (ODI) series against India due to high workloads over a sustained period of time and the need for him to recover prior the outbound Test series against New Zealand next month,” Cricket South Africa (CSA) stated in a press release.
The board stated no alternative shall be introduced in for Rabada as there’s an prolonged squad in place within the Bio-Secure Environment (BSE), however George Linde has been retained from the Test workforce as an additional spin-bowling choice for the sequence.
