    Raipur 22 December 2024/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has congratulated and wished all the farmers on National Farmers Day. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to protecting the interests of farmers. Apart from purchasing paddy from the farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per 21 quintal, the state government has also provided paddy bonus amounting to Rs 3716 crore to the farmers. Shri Sai said that the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh, considered the messiah of farmers, is celebrated as Farmers Day on 23 December. He said that Chaudhary Charan Singh, who has a strong belief in social justice, will always be remembered for the work he did for the farmers.
