Hollywood actor Jennifer Lopez will produce a sequence titled Backwards in Heels in regards to the notorious Barbizon Hotel for Amazon. Oscar nominee Richard LaGravenese will write and direct the present. The story follows the timeless tales of the glamourous girls residing on the Barbizon Hotel in post-WWII New York City.
Barbizon, situated on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, was a female-only residential resort for younger girls who got here to town searching for alternatives. The 23-story resort, built-in 1927, was a mix of Italian Renaissance and late Gothic revival and Islamic ornamental parts.
No males have been allowed above the bottom flooring until 1981 and strict guidelines concerning conduct and gown have been enforced. A number of well-known company to grace the resort included Lauren Bacall, Betty Buckley, Joan Crawford, Rita Hayworth and Grace Kelly.
Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, and Benny Medina will produce the sequence underneath their Nuyorican Productions. Julie Goldstein can be producing. David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost will produce for Skydance TV.
