Authorities issued an order on Monday telling residents of Plaquemine within the US state of Louisiana to shelter in place following a hearth and chlorine spill at Olin Corp’s plant positioned on the property of Dow Chemical.
The hearth was doused shortly after the leak from the Olin plant, a third-party tenant on the Dow facility, an official from the sheriff’s workplace of Iberville parish mentioned, including that the variety of casualties was not instantly recognized.
