As per the report, the vaccines from their manufacturing models will likely be transported to the central hub in Pune, and thereon, will likely be moved to regional hubs located at completely different places throughout the nation.
IANS was instructed that Karnal in Haryana and Delhi will function regional hubs for the storage and roll-out of the vaccines within the northern a part of the nation. Chennai and Hyderabad will function regional hubs for the distribution of vaccines in southern India. Earlier on Tuesday, the Health Ministry mentioned it was ready to roll out COVID-19 vaccine inside 10 days from date of emergency use authorisation, which was issued on January 3, however famous that the ultimate determination lies with the federal government.
Addressing a press briefing, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan mentioned healthcare staff and frontline staff needn’t register themselves as their database has been populated on to the Co-WIN vaccine supply administration system in a bulk method.
“Based on the feedback of dry-run, the Health Ministry is ready to introduce COVID-19 vaccine within 10 days from date of emergency use authorisation,” he mentioned.
