KOLKATA: West Bengal authorities on Wednesday paid final respect to famend Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly generally known as KK, with gun salute to his mortal stays.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who supervised the proceedings, paid floral tributes to the late singer, whose physique was saved at Rabindra Sadan for a while.

Banerjee was seen consoling KK’s spouse and different members of the family who had been current on the venue.

The 53-year-old singer’s physique was delivered to Rabindra Sadan after autopsy examination was carried out at state-run SSKM Hospital earlier within the day, an official mentioned.
His mortal stays shall be taken to the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and handed over to his household, who will fly to Mumbai with the physique, he mentioned.
KK was declared “brought dead” by medical doctors of a hospital the place he was taken after he “fell unconscious” upon his return to a lodge from a live performance on Tuesday night time, police mentioned.
Police have registered a case of unnatural demise and began an investigation.
The vocalist, who is thought for his versatility, has sung in numerous languages together with Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali.
