Exemption in monthly tax for the month of June: Earlier, exemption was given in the monthly tax of April and May.
Bus operators will get a profit of Rs 5 crore
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has given a big relief to the passenger bus operators of the state in odd circumstances arising out of the Corona crisis. He has also given exemption in monthly tax for the month of June to the passenger bus operators. Earlier, the monthly tax exemption for the months of April and May was provided by the state government. In this way, bus operators have been exempted from paying monthly tax for three months in April, May and June by the Government of Chhattisgarh. With this decision of the state government, the passenger bus operators of the state will get a profit of about five crore rupees.
Significantly, during the corona virus (Kovid-19), the situation arising out of lockdown faced various difficulties of the bus operators of the state. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel had directed the Transport Department to provide relief. During the lockdown period, passenger buses stopped operating on their scheduled route. On June 4, on the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the state’s inter-state and all-India tourist permit and all-storey passenger vehicles were given complete exemption from payment of monthly tax for the period April and May. The operation of passenger buses plying regularly on various routes of the state has been completely closed even during the month of June. Due to which the affected bus operators demanded tax exemption, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has given monthly tax rebate in the month of June also. Due to which bus operators are going through the phase of economic crisis Will benefit. Due to this decision of the state government, the amount payable to the passenger bus operators of the state will be about five crore rupees. Similarly, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel has also directed the Transport Department to take action for exemption for two months period from the provisions of depositing advance tax payable in advance before putting the vehicle in use.
