India’s triple gold medallist on the latest Commonwealth Games, Sharath Kamal, has opted out of subsequent month’s World Table Tennis Championships in China, citing private causes.
The occasion shall be performed in Chengdu from September 30 to October 9.The 40-year-old Sharath had received the lads’s singles, blended doubles and crew title within the Birmingham Games. G Sathiyan, the top-ranked Indian on this planet at No. 37, will spearhead the nation’s problem within the males’s part whereas world No. 44 Manika Batra will lead the ladies’s crew. Manika shall be aiming for an improved efficiency after an underwhelming marketing campaign on the CWG.
“National men and women coaches S. Raman and Anindita Chakraborty, Chris Adrian Pfeiffer (personal coach of Manika) and masseur Harmeet Kaur will be the other members of the contingent,” Table Tennis Federation of India mentioned.
“Unfortunately, however, the Birmingham CWG multiple medallist A Sharath Kamal has opted out of the team, citing personal reasons.” The Indian crew is predicted to go away for Chengdu on September 25.
