By India Today Web Desk: A Russian gasoline tank was set ablaze on the Kerch bridge in Crimea on Saturday, as per Russian information company RIA. While Ukrainian media reported the incident as an explosion, the reason for the hearth remained unknown.
An investigative committee has been constituted and a prison case was initiated shortly after a truck caught fireplace on the Crimean bridge. The site visitors on the road-rail route was suspended. The bridge was constructed in 2018 and unveiled by Russian President Vladimir Putin and it was constructed to hyperlink Crimea to Russia by roadways.
“A fuel tank is on fire on one of the sections of the Crimean bridge,” information company Reuters quoted an official as saying. They talked about the transport arches weren’t broken.
As per the preliminary probe, no casualties have been reported. Also, the Crimean administration requested all hoteliers and heads of sanatoriums to increase the keep of vacationers and the price of which might be borne by the Republic of Crimea.
“The compensation procedure will be announced on Monday,” the Head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, shared on his Telegram channel.
Shortly after the explosion, Crimea’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee shared {that a} truck exploded on the Krymsky Bridge, inflicting a hearth in seven gasoline tanks of a practice.
