Bharat Biotech, which hasreceived Emergency Use Authorisation approval from the Drug Controller General of Indiafor its COVID-19 vaccine Covaxin, is ready to dispatch it from the Rajv Gandhi InternationalAirport right here on Tuesday night, a senior official of theAirports cargo division mentioned.
”Today we’ve acquired the primary consignment of vaccines from Serum Institute at Hyderabad airport. We acquired 970 kgs of consignment (from Serum Institute).” ”Today within the night the primary consignment is goingout of Hyderabad…. (it’s from ) Bharat Biotech. It is goingto 11 locations,” the official informed reporters afterreceiving the primary consignment of Covishield vaccines.
Covishield is developed by Oxford University andBritish-Swedish firm AstraZeneca and manufactured by theSerum Institute of India (SII).
An e-mail despatched to Bharat Biotech in regards to the deliveryschedule of Covaxin evoked a ”no feedback” response.
