Lucknow: Fraudsters transacted in international forex with the bank card of Principal Secretary Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Anurag Srivastava. Not solely this, the hackers hacked the emails and cloud information of the principal secretary and 4 members of his household and demanded extortion in bitcoins. A report has been lodged with the Chief Secretary within the cyber police station on Wednesday.
IAS officer Anurag Srivastava is posted as Principal Secretary of Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department. According to him, on November 21, he obtained a message on his cell phone {that a} international forex transaction of Rs 49,999 had been made by way of his SBI bank card. On this he tried to dam the bank card by way of the app, but it surely couldn’t be blocked. On this he contacted the financial institution and received the cardboard and account blocked.
Chief Secretary filed a case
Apart from this, the hackers obtained electronic mail IDs made on Gmail and cloud information hacking of the Principal Secretary and 4 members of his household. The hacker demanded extortion cash in bitcoins from everybody. In this entire matter, on Wednesday, Principal Secretary Anurag Srivastava has filed a report in Cybercrime Police Station underneath fraud, extortion and 66C IT Act.
