BHUBANESWAR: The state authorities acquired 180 letters of intent with an funding worth of over Rs 1.7 lakh crore on the second day of the flagship Make-in-Odisha conclave 2022 on Friday.
The state has acquired 325 proposals price Rs 8.9 lakh crore in final two days. As many as 145 proposals with funding intents of Rs 7.26 lakh crore have been acquired on Thursday. The total funding would generate employment for round seven lakh individuals, together with 3.78 lakh from the intents acquired on Day 2.
The sectors that attracted buyers in the course of the day included metallic, ancillary and metallic downstream, energy and renewable power, chemical and plastics, data expertise, agriculture and meals processing and agri-business.
Maximum 46 have evinced curiosity to spend money on mineral, metallic, ancillary and downstream (Rs 78,000 crore), 43 in agriculture and meals processing (Rs 3,500 crore), 24 in data expertise (Rs 6,000 crore), 22 in energy and renewable power (Rs 51,000 crore), 17 in chemical and plastics (Rs 29,000 crore), 9 in textile, attire and garment (Rs 2,100 crore), 5 in agri-marketing and 14 in agri-businesses (Rs 650 crore).
Principal secretary of Industries division Hemant Sharma stated the second day of the summit noticed extra variety of intents and extra employment alternatives with much less capital funding as in comparison with the primary day. “For a state like Odisha, such units with less capital investment are the need of the hour as these sectors are employment intensive and the intents have high grounding rate. We are expecting more investments in these sectors in the coming days as many potential investors are yet to go through the new industrial policy that offers many sops and incentives,” he stated.
Apart from the funding commitments, 4 ground-breaking ceremonies have been held and 4 new vegetation have been inaugurated. The initiatives attracted an total funding dedication of Rs 4,423.51 crore with employment for 14,270 individuals.
