By India Today Web Desk: Left-handed batter Imam-ul-Haq reckoned that Pakistan misplaced their first two Tests in opposition to England because of their very own errors and never as a result of the opposition performed excellent cricket.
After dropping the second Test in Multan, Pakistan conceded the three-match collection 2-0 to the Three Lions. In each of the primary two Tests, Pakistan failed to carry their nerve within the batting division.
The third and remaining Test of the collection is scheduled to get underway on Saturday, December 17 on the National Stadium in Karachi. Imam admitted that regardless of being in sturdy positions in Rawalpindi and Multan, Pakistan did not money in on the alternatives.
“Test matches in Rawalpindi and Multan were in our hands. Unfortunately, we were unable to execute our plans, which is disappointing. Pakistan is not losing because England are playing outstanding test cricket. We are losing because of our own mistakes,” Imam was quoted as saying within the pre-match press convention.
Earlier, Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), steered Babar Azam to incorporate T20 model gamers within the Test workforce. In reply, Imam mentioned that it was a name to be taken by the selectors and workforce administration.
“There is no opener currently capable of meeting the performances of the opening duo of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in T20. We will keep on playing as we do. We lost due to our mistakes, and we admit it. We will try and come up strongly,” Imam added.
Imam is at present fourth within the checklist of main run-scorers within the collection, having scored 229 runs from 4 innings at a median of 57.25 with one century and one half-century.
