By India Today Web Desk: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday mentioned he was “completely helpless” whereas he was the nation’s premier as a result of the “real man in power” was former military chief General (retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Imran Khan has been focusing on Gen Bajwa and a few senior ISI officers ever since he was ousted in April by a no-confidence movement. The former Pakistan Army chief retired on November 29.
“Gen Bajwa was the real man in power. He was controlling the national anti-graft body (National Accountability Bureau). He decided which politician should be sent to jail,” reported PTI, citing Khan.

GEN BAJWA OVERRULING IMRAN KHAN
Khan brought up past instances where Bajwa allegedly pulled rank on him. He said, “NAB would tell me that the cases against thieves – Sharifs and Zardaris – were matured but it was not allowed by Gen Bajwa to take them to the logical end”
The former Pakistan PM additionally talked about how Gen Bajwa supplied reduction to the incumbent Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a mega-money laundering case wherein his conviction was sure if it had proceeded on benefit.
“The Federal Investigation Agency’s multi-billion dollar case against Shehbaz Sharif and his sons – Hamza and Suleman – was open and shut but Gen Bajwa came to their rescue and I, being prime minister, was completely helpless,” Khan mentioned in his newest assault on the previous military chief.
Earlier this month, Khan accused Bajwa of enjoying a “double game” in opposition to his authorities and mentioned that he dedicated a “big mistake” by extending the tenure of the then navy chief in 2019.
