Amid the worsening flour disaster in Pakistan, a big consignment of wheat imported from Russia reached Karachi port. Two ships filled with wheat reached Karachi port on Monday and extra 4,50,000 tonnes of wheat from Russia will attain Pakistan by way of Gwadar port.
To meet the scarcity of wheat, the Pakistan authorities is importing a complete of 75 lakh tonnes of wheat. The wheat that Pakistan has purchased from Russia will attain Pakistan by March 30. Along with Russia, wheat imported from different international locations can also be reaching Karachi port. According to a report in The Express Tribune, 3,50,000 tonnes of wheat has reached Karachi port.
