By Sabyasachi Chowdhury: Shubman Gill, on Sunday, January 15, racked up his second ODI hundred within the third ODI towards Sri Lanka off 89 balls on the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
The right-hander had the prospect of scoring 100 within the first sport on the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. However, he missed out after getting out to opposition skipper Dasun Shanaka. Gill had to return to the hut after scoring 70 runs off 60 balls on a wonderful pitch to bat on.
However, he didn’t let the prospect go within the third sport. Gill racked up his half-century off 52 balls and was additionally concerned in a 95-run stand for the opening wicket together with Rohit Sharma, who bought out to Chamika Karunaratne after scoring 42.
