SIWAN: At least three folks died and 7 others have been taken in poor health after allegedly consuming spurious liquor in Bhopatpur sub-division of Siwan district of “dry” Bihar, officers stated on Monday.
According to an announcement issued by the district administration, 10 folks have been admitted to the district hospital in Siwan at round 7 pm on Sunday after they complained of abdomen ache, nausea and dizziness.
“While one person was declared brought dead by the doctors of the Siwan hospital , two persons died when they were taken to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH). Seven people are presently admitted at the district hospital in Siwan”, the assertion stated.
Locals stated many among the many seven, who fell in poor health, are in a critical situation . Sale and consumption of liquor is banned in Bihar since April 2016.
The district administration stated that the autopsy studies of the deceased would confirm the precise reason for demise.
