SRINAGAR: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Sunday unfurled the nationwide flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar because the Bharat Jodo Yatra entered its final leg within the union territory.
The yatra will journey to Nehru Park within the Boulevard space of the town and can culminate on Monday.
Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed on Friday morning from the National Highway-44, Banihal Railway station, within the UT’s Ramban district.
Security was tightened within the space within the wake of the current twin blasts on the outskirts of Jammu metropolis on January 22 which rocked a busy locality in Narwal leaving no less than 9 folks injured.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra, which began in Kanyakumari on September 7, will conclude on January 30 in Srinagar after protecting 3,970 km, 12 states, and two Union territories.
