JEYPORE: Days after the State authorities granted further procurement goal of 74,000 quintal kharif paddy within the district, farmers in Jeypore, Kotpad, Kundra and Boipariguda started lifting paddy to numerous scheduled mandis for bodily verification.
The district administration has determined {that a} crew of officers from regulated market committee (RMC), Revenue and Civil Supplies division would submit earlier than it a paddy inventory report after bodily verification which might be forwarded to the federal government earlier than the extra goal allottment as per the farmers’ demand.
Accordingly, RMC, Jeypore has requested farmers to inventory their paddy in mandis for bodily verification by January 15. Koraput Civil Supplies officer Tularam Nayak knowledgeable that the administration would submit a report back to the federal government for allotment of extra procurement for the district solely after paddy inventory of farmers of their connected mandis is verified.
