By India Today Web Desk: Former India batter Gautam Gambhir has criticised the Australian batters, saying they performed pathetic photographs on the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. India bowled Australia out for 113 within the third innings within the second Test of the four-match Border-Gavaskar sequence.
Speaking to Star Sports, Gambhir mentioned Australian batters performed pathetic photographs to lose their wickets in opposition to India in Delhi.
“You’re saying these are bad shots. I will say these are pathetic. The wicket has nothing to do with this. It hasn’t behaved very badly,” mentioned Gambhir.
The former opener mentioned so many Australian batters obtained out enjoying the sweep shot, including that Travis Head shouldn’t be too sad along with his dismissal because it was an incredible supply.
“The delivery to Travis Head was great, I don’t think he should be too unhappy about how he was dismissed. But if you’re looking to sweep on a low-bouncing wicket, Usman Khawaja was out while attempting the sweep, so did Steve Smith and Matt Renshaw,” Gambhir added.
He went on to say that when the ball shouldn’t be coming above the shin top, they had been all the time advised to play with a straight bat.
“The ball isn’t coming above the shin height and you are attempting sweep, we are always told to play with the straight bat on such wickets,” mentioned Gambhir.
The R Ashwin-Ravindra Jadeja juggernaut continued to hang-out Australia because the star spin duo wreaked havoc within the morning session of Day 3 to bowl out the vacationers for a meager 113 within the second Test at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. Australia had been abysmal with their batting method and obtained bundled out cheaply by the spin pair of Ashwin and Jadeja.
Australia had been all out for 113 runs of their second innings, setting India a victory goal of 115 on day three of the second take a look at on Sunday.
