The Indian Railways on Friday allowed e-catering companies to renew at chosen railway stations. In an announcement, the Railway Ministry mentioned that will probably be topic to compliance with all the rules on well being and security issues issued by Central and state governments and different authorised businesses beneath them. The ministry mentioned that it might be famous that IRCTC had written to the Railway Board for the resumption of e catering at chosen railway stations.
“IRCTC will have to review the situation now and permit the resumption of e-catering services depending upon the feasibility, availability of staff and local restrictions, etc,” it mentioned.
The e-catering companies had been suspended as a measure to forestall the unfold of Covid-19.

Earlier in May 2020, the Ministry of Railways determined to open all catering stalls at railway stations. These had been shut in view of the lockdown on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thereafter in October, the Indian Railways allowed the sale of cooked meals at its catering and merchandising models on stations. 
However, the meals plazas, Jan Ahars, cell kitchens and refreshment rooms had been allowed open just for takeaways. These models had been earlier allowed to promote solely packaged meals.
