NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the model new Parliament setting up Sunday morning.
Dressed in standard attire, Modi walked into the Parliament premises from its Gate No. 1 and was welcomed by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Amid Vedic chants by clergymen from Karnataka’s Shringeri Math, the prime minister carried out “Ganapati Homam” to invoke Gods to bless the inauguration of the model new Parliament setting up.
The prime minister prostrated sooner than the “Sengol” and sought blessings from extreme clergymen of varied adheenams in Tamil Nadu with the holy sceptre in hand.
Modi then carried the “Sengol” in a procession amid tunes of “nadaswaram” and chanting of Vedic mantras to the model new Parliament setting up and put in it in a specific enclosure on the becoming side of the Speaker’s chair throughout the Lok Sabha chamber.
