Man lynched over ‘blasphemy’ all through political rally in Pakistan

By India Today World Desk: An individual was lynched by a mob after he allegedly made blasphemous remarks all through a rally of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social gathering in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The incident took place on Saturday when the deceased, Maulana Nigar, was addressing the rally of PTI’s native chapter in Sawaldher in Mardan, The News International reported.

As he was winding-up his speech, he allegedly made blasphemous remarks which angered the viewers present on the rally. More number of people elevated inside no time they often lynched Nigar, killing him on the spot, an official acknowledged.

Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Azam Khan, condemned the incident and directed the police to maintain up regulation and order. He recommended politicians in direction of giving statements that will incite violence.

He moreover urged people to not take the regulation into their palms.

Blasphemy is a fragile problem in Pakistan, the place even unproven allegations can incite violence by mobs.

On February 11, a violent mob lynched an individual, accused of blasphemy, to dying in Nankana Sahib in Punjab province. The deceased, Waris Ali Issa, was arrested on prices of blasphemy. The mob stormed the police station at Warburton in Nankana Sahib, took custody of the sufferer, and was crushed to dying.
