China on Sunday vowed “resolute and forceful measures” over a weekend journey by Taiwan Vice President William Lai to the United States it stated it was intently monitoring.
Lai — the frontrunner in Taiwan’s presidential elections subsequent 12 months — is formally making solely transit stops within the United States en path to and from Paraguay, the place he’ll attend the inauguration of president-elect Santiago Pena.
