    37th National Junior Basketball Championship: Surguja’s Pragya Mishra selected in junior girls team, competition to be held in Odisha from 4th to 11th February

    Surguja. District Basketball Association’s talented international basketball player Pragya Mishra has been selected in Chhattisgarh State Junior Girls Team. This team will participate in the 37th National Basketball Junior Championship competition to be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha from 4 to 11 February 2024. Patron of Surguja District Basketball Association Anil Singh Major and President Aditeshwar Sharan Singhdev have specially congratulated and congratulated Pragya on her selection in Chhattisgarh State Junior Girls Team.

    National coach Rajesh Pratap Singh said that the beginning of this year has been good. Surguja has achieved many achievements in the basketball game in the year 2024. Gold medal in sub-junior boys/junior girls category and 8 national players of Surguja District Basketball Association participated in Khelo India Youth Games. In the coming time, Surguja players will perform better by playing on the new synthetic basketball court.

    National coach Rajesh Pratap Singh has demanded from Ambikapur MLA and Surguja Collector to install basketball poles in the multipurpose indoor hall of Gandhi Stadium and high quality basketball poles outdoors for the players. He said that if this demand is fulfilled, it will prove to be the foundation stone in making history for the basketball players of Surguja.
