With the beginning of the new year, more than 90 crimes have been registered in the police station in the last 40 days. This crime figure is more than the incidents that have occurred so far. Be it the theft of Rs 50,000 kept in a bike in front of Canara Bank in Palika Gali on 19th January or the attack on an Atmanand School student with a sharp object by two accused while returning home after a minor dispute in the school on 2nd February, at the petrol pump on the same day. An incident of robbery also took place. After these incidents, there is fear in the Kotwali area.

The number increased due to cases being registered under Naya Savera.

Gariaband SDOP Pushpendra Nayak said that under Naya Savera, action is being taken by continuously running a campaign against drug abuse. Continuous action is being taken by confiscating illegal liquor and illicit drug paraphernalia, due to which the number of recorded crimes has increased. Those who commit crimes like robbery and theft will soon be caught. Our team is working day and night on this. It has happened. Will reveal soon.
