Kolkata. A female journalist has accused actor Darshan Jariwala of raping her and making her pregnant by making false promises of marriage. Jariwala has denied the allegations and threatened to file a defamation case against the female journalist. Jariwala’s lawyer Savina Bedi Sachar rejected the allegations of pregnancy, saying that her client is medically unfit to become a father.
Sachar told the media that Darshan’s medical condition is preventing him from becoming a father to children. She also mentioned that due to this condition, her partner is also struggling to conceive despite all efforts. On the other hand, the female journalist rejected Darshan’s claim and said that being medically unfit to become a father does not free one from the ability to rape or engage in sexual intercourse.

He further said that Jariwala’s claims were false and he had evidence to support his claim. According to the victim, she has the complete medical file of Jariwala since February 2023. He alleged that Jariwala used to seek his advice for his medical conditions and homeopathic treatment. However, Jariwala’s lawyer has expressed doubts over the credibility of the report.
The victim said that she had knowledge of Darshan and his current partner Anahita Jahanbakhsh Italia trying to conceive. He further mentioned that Darshan has a biological daughter, Khushali Jariwala, with his now-estranged wife Apara Mehta. Interestingly, Khushali is three months older than the victim. The victim woman also told that till now she has not received any defamation notice from Jariwala.
