Govind Patel, Kushinagar. Nowadays, prostitution business is going on indiscriminately in the hotels and restaurants of Buddha Nagri Kushinagar municipal area. Due to which Buddha Nagri is getting tarnished. Prostitution continues unabated in the city that teaches the message of peace to the world.
Local people have many times given applications against this and demanded action. On which the then SDM took strict action and sealed dozens of restaurants and hotels, due to which this business remained closed for a long time. If sources are to be believed, as soon as the SDM was transferred, the locks of most of the hotels and restaurants that came under the ambit of the action were opened and like before, the business of prostitution has now started running rampant in them. Being a district adjacent to Bihar, businessmen associated with it from the surrounding districts including Bihar come here regularly and have fun in these hotels and then leave.

Neither the police administration takes any action on this. Is the responsible officer pushing Buddha Nagri towards infamy or is the illegal business continuing unabated. Now it remains to be seen how long action will be taken against these illegal businesses or whether illegal business continues to run rampant in these hotels.
