Ranchi: There is big news for Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi. Sanjay Seth, who won a big victory for the second time in a row from Ranchi Lok Sabha seat, has been included in the cabinet.
Today Narendra Modi took oath along with his cabinet at Rashtrapati Bhavan. This time BJP MP Sanjay Seth from Jharkhand has also got a chance to join Modi’s cabinet.
He has been working in the field of social service for the last 40 years
Sanjay Seth has been working in the field of social service for the last 40 years and his participation is seen in every small and big program of BJP. Although after Babulal Marandi left BJP, Sanjay Seth left the party for a few months and went with him, but after coming back he was given a big responsibility in BJP.
Arrested several times during emergency and other agitations
Sanjay Seth, who won the election from Ranchi Lok Sabha seat for the second time in a row, was arrested on the day of LK Advani’s arrest in 1992 and was in Ranchi jail for 25 days. Before this, he was arrested several times during the Emergency and student life in agitations. He participated in the Jail Bharo Andolan during the import of foreign wheat. In January 2013, he stayed in Birsa Munda Central Jail for 7 days as part of the party’s program. Apart from this, he also worked as Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha in-charge of Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Lohardaga, Palamu and Dumka. He actively participated in the party’s national president and regional programs, including kar seva twice, Ekta Yatra, Vote Club Rally, Mumbai Convention, Morcha Sammelan in Allahabad, Vidhan Sabha Gherao Andolan in Ranchi-Patna and other programs.
Joined BJYM in 1980, became general secretary
In 1976 he contested the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad election from DAV College in Kanpur Student Union elections and won. In 1980 he became the General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Ranchi city. In 1981 he became the Ranchi city president of BJYM, in 1986 he was the senior vice president of Ranchi BJP, organization general secretary, in 1990 he was BJP Ranchi president, in 1997 he was the state general secretary of BJYM, in 2001 he was the state spokesperson of BJP, in 2003 he was the president of Ranchi Metropolitan, in 2009 he was the state spokesperson and in 2013 he was the coordinator of Namo Mantra Jharkhand.
