T20 World Cup 2024: The T20 World Cup 2024 being hosted by the USA and West Indies has reached its final stage. The first semi-final match of the tournament will be played between Afghanistan and South Africa tomorrow at 6 am Indian time. At the same time, the second semi-final match will be played between India and England at 8 pm. This match will be played at Providence Stadium in Guyana, but a news before the match has increased the tension of the English team.

Actually, there is a threat of rain on this match. What will happen if it rains and the semi-final match is washed out? Has a reserve day been kept for this match? If the match is cancelled, will the Indian team be out? Let’s know the answers to all these questions…

The Indian team is undefeated in the tournament so far

The Indian team led by captain Rohit Sharma has not lost any match in this tournament so far. The team has entered the semi-finals by winning all its matches in the group stage and then in the Super-8. The best thing for the Indian team is that it has entered the semi-finals by topping its Group-1 of the Super-8. The Indian team can get a place in the semi-final to be played against England.

If it rains then Team India will be in trouble

Let us tell you that one suspense in this World Cup is that ICC has not kept any reserve day for the second semi-final. Whereas reserve day has been kept for the first semi-final. Because the semi-final between India and England will be played on 27th June at 10:30 am as per local time. In such a situation, there will be a whole day to conduct the match. That is why 250 minutes have been given in bulk in this match. That is, after the match is stopped due to rain, 250 minutes will be waited and there will be no reduction in overs. If in the meantime the rain stops and the match starts, then the full match will be played. Even after 250 minutes, if the rain continues, then the match will be canceled and the Indian team will reach the final due to topping Group-1 of Super-8. Whereas the England team, which was second in Group-2, will be out. Not only this, ICC has also made it clear that a match of at least 10 overs is necessary in the semi-finals and finals.

Know the weather report of Guyana

According to AccuWeather, there is a possibility of rain during the India-England semi-final in Guyana. The start of the match may be delayed as there is a 35% to 68% chance of rain from 10 am to 6 pm local time (7:30 pm to 3:30 am Indian time). The Providence Stadium will remain cloudy throughout the match. The match may be delayed due to heavy rain. The Meteorological Department has predicted a 60% chance of heavy rain with thunderstorms on Thursday morning.

The squad of India and England is as follows

    Indian Team

Rohit Sharma (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Sanju Samson, Shivam Dubey, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh, Jaspreet Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Mohammad Siraj.

    England Team

Jos Buttler (captain), Moeen Ali, Joffra Archer, Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook, Sam Curran, Ben Duckett, Tom Hartley, Will Jacks, Chris Jordan, Liam Livingstone, Adil Rashid, Phil Salt, Reece Topley and Mark Wood.
