Raipur. The first fact finding meeting of Congress was held on Friday at the state office Rajiv Bhawan. In the meeting, senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily, who came from New Delhi, held one-to-one discussions with senior leaders. The defeat in Mahasamund and Raipur Lok Sabha was reviewed in the meeting.
According to sources, resentment was expressed over the outsider candidate in Mahasamund. The leaders also informed about the non-availability of resources on time. The issue of lack of resources and coordination in Raipur was also raised in the meeting. Factionalism was blamed for the defeat in Bastar. Many leaders also raised questions on the functioning of the organization.
Chhattisgarh in-charge Sachin Pilot said that the results of the assembly and Lok Sabha elections were not in our favour. He said that there has been no decrease in the vote percentage in favour of the Congress in Chhattisgarh. A report will be prepared and submitted to the AICC.
