Both the tiger cubs rescued from Budhni died in Van Vihar

Both the female tiger cubs were injured in a train accident. The forest workers cremated the dead cub. The hind part of the second cub was not working.

Navdunia Representative, Bhopal. Two tiger cubs seriously injured in a train accident were rescued from Budhni’s Midghat railway line on July 16 and brought to Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal. Here both the cubs were being treated by wildlife doctors and other medical teams, but they could not be saved. One cub died on Tuesday and the other cub died on Wednesday.

It is known that the health check-up and X-ray of the above two tiger cubs were done by the wildlife doctor and other medical team on July 17. Along with this, continuous treatment was being done by the wildlife doctor of the forest resort in consultation with subject experts.

The second cub also died

The other injured tiger cub also died on Wednesday. His condition was also critical, till Wednesday he was eating only a small amount of food. He was being treated under constant observation. His hind part was also not working.

The postmortem of the dead tiger cub was conducted jointly by Dr. Atul Gupta, wildlife veterinarian, Dr. Rajat Kulkarni and Dr. Prashant Deshmukh. After the postmortem, the dead tiger cub was cremated as per rules in the presence of senior officials and other officers and employees present in the Van Vihar National Park.

It is worth noting that on July 15, a male cub died after being hit by a train on the Midghat railway track of Budhni. Whereas, two female cubs were injured. They were rescued by a special train the next day and brought to Van Vihar in Bhopal.
