Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said in the Rakshabandhan cum Shravan Utsav program in Bamhni Banjar of Mandla that the affection and love of the sisters of Bamhni amid the blessings of Indradev is amazing. Rakhi has come tied from every house here. This love of sisters has become very memorable.
On 10th August, an amount of almost 1.75 crores was transferred to the accounts of the sisters. It is not just about money, but about facilities for the sisters. Apart from Rakhi, the sisters buy clothes, coconut, sweets and many other things from this amount received from the scheme. Whenever money comes to the family, the sisters always know how to make good use of the money, which is a big step towards women empowerment.
The Chief Minister said that earlier he used to celebrate Rakhi festival with the sisters of only one assembly, but now the whole state has become his family. To tie Rakhi to the Chief Minister, the sisters of Mandla district collected 11 thousand Rakhis, which were tied with a silk thread from the stage to the end of the venue.
Announcing a grant of Rs 6 crore for developing the airstrip in Gwara, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that PM Shri air service will be started from Mandla soon. PG courses will be started in the college of Bamhni. The CM announced from the stage to give the status of tehsil to Bamhni from sub-tehsil.
