The Satpura Tiger Reserve management is soon going to open a gate from Sawarwani village for traveling in the buffer in the tourist village Sawarwani.
Gate Bargondi is ten kilometers away from Sawarwani
A large part of the Satpura Tiger Reserve, which has buffer travel, is adjacent to Sawarwani village, but the gate built for buffer travel is ten kilometers away from Bargondi Sawarwani, due to which tourists had to face inconvenience. Keeping all the circumstances in mind, it was decided that a gate for buffer travel in Satpura Tiger Reserve will be opened soon from Sawarwani. This gate will open for buffer travel just 500 meters away from village Sawarwani.
You can go to Pachmarhi while traveling in the buffer
With the opening of this gate, employment opportunities will increase in the village and tourists coming to Pachmarhi will have two options for travelling in the buffer. With the opening of this gate, after staying at the homestay of Sawarwani, tourists will be able to travel directly in the buffer of Satpura Tiger Reserve and go to Pachmarhi.
Savarwani village declared as tourist village
Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has declared Savarwani village as a tourist village. Homestays have been built here according to tribal culture and traditions. In which people get a chance to stay with rural style as well as tribal food and art cultures. This homestay has also received an international award. Along with this, the homestay of Savarwani has also been declared as a model. On this basis, homestays will be built in other states of the country as well.
There are 62 tigers in Satpura Tiger Reserve
The buffer zone in Satpura Tiger Reserve is 794.2 43 sq km. The number of tigers here is 62. Satpura National Park is located in Narmadapuram. The area of the national park is extremely remote and is 120 km from Chhindwara. There are areas of sandstone peaks, narrow valleys, ravines and dense forests. This park also has 1350 m high Dhoopgarh peak, and flat plains.
