Navdunia Representative, Bhopal. Around 7:45 PM, a 20-year-old bike rider Monu alias Rakesh Chaudhary, a resident of Vikas Nagar, died after being hit by a speeding car near the house of Leader of Opposition Hemant Katare, who lives in Bharti Niketan, Govindpura.
The speed of the car can be estimated from the fact that the airbags opened after the car hit the bike and the bike rider jumped in the air and fell on the divider on the side of the road ten feet away. There were four minor school students in the car including a girl, they tried to escape, but could not escape as the bike got stuck under the car. People caught one of them and handed him over to the police.
According to the information, Monu Chaudhary, who lives behind Bharti Niketan, studies in college and also works in a DB Mall. He was the only son of his family. He was coming home at night. As soon as Monu turned his bike from the intersection to go to Bharti Niketan, a speeding car coming towards Subhash Nagar Vishram Ghat hit Monu Chaudhary riding on the bike from the front.
After the accident, the people nearby took Monu to a private hospital in Gautam Nagar where he was declared dead. Govindpura TI Awadhesh Singh Tomar said that a boy has been found in the car, he is a school student. He is being questioned.
